Agricultural Benefits of Cannabis

The legalization of cannabis carries with it many agricultural benefits for southern farmers, but many fail to see just how economically far-reaching cannabis production can be. Beyond the savings to federal, state and local entities in the neighborhood of $14 billion that will occur naturally when we stop incarcerating people for using cannabis, the government will see billions of dollars in new revenue in the form of taxes and smart, enterprising “ganjapreneurs” will make billions more by growing, packaging and selling the plant.

In the southern United States farmers interested in growing cannabis (either for recreational or industrial use) will finally start to see profits from their hard labor without having to depend on the federal government for subsidies.
